About Rhi
Born in Beddau, near Pontypridd.
Rhian started acting at the age of thirteen appearing first in a Welsh language film ‘Ymadawiad Arthur’ directed by Marc Evans.
Rhian attended Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari, “I loved school, I had a great bunch of friends that allowed me to move between the drama department and the ‘cool’ (I use loosely) gang without much piss take!”
At 16, Rhian won a scholarship to attend United World College of the Atlantic in St. Donat’s Llantwit Major. “…quite possibly will always be the best two years of my life.”
In 1999 Rhian appeared in ‘Very Annie Mary’ alongside Rachael Griffiths, Jonathan Pryce, Ioan Griffiths and Matthew Rees.
Between 1999 and 2007 Rhian has appeared in many TV programmes including, ‘Afterlife’, ‘Border Café’, ‘Casualty’, ‘Losing Gemma’, ‘Y Ty’ and ‘Calon Gaeth’.
Rhian and Stephen J Preston (co writer and producer) have known each other for 12 years.
Following many years of gigging, Rhian and Steve decided to write this album together.
“I go to Steve with some lyrics and a vague tune and he just starts playing along, I think it may be magic, or else he’s just a sickeningly talented man!”
